Shelley Tate Garner

Shelley Tate Garner has been involved in the arts in the Texoma area for over 25 years. She graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Cum Laude) specializing in painting and ceramics, from the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Arts in Museum Studies, and Liberty University with an MFA in Graphic Design. She has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions across the United States and received awards for her painting and sculpture works. Her work is included in prominent private and corporate collections across the United States, Canada, and Germany.

Garner’s artistic interests are always experimental and explorative. Her works blend a mix of abstracted subject matter with non-representational painting and sculpture. Her style is defined by an exciting use of line, color, and pattern, as well as a diversity of textures and materials. The underlying theme of her work is the dynamic and ever-changing interaction of man and nature.

Garner currently does freelance graphic design work (which has been featured in publications internationally), is an active fine artist, and Adjunct Professor of Art.
