As an artist and art educator, my life revolves around the joy of creativity and the transformative power of art. Teaching art at a growing school allows me to inspire young minds to explore their creative potential.
Growing up in South Texas, I was immersed in the vibrant Mexican culture, which shaped my artistic style. The bright colors, intricate patterns, and rich symbolism of this heritage are woven into my work, where I embrace bold palettes and layered textures that celebrate life and community.
My latest flower painting series reflects the inspiration I found during a transformative trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. Immersed in its vibrant art scene, traditional markets, and stunning landscapes, I rekindled my love for bold colors and textures. This series captures the cultural richness of Oaxaca, blending floral motifs with dynamic patterns and earthy tones.
I am proud to be part of the Denison Artists Council Registry and look forward to contributing to the city’s dynamic creative culture. Through teaching, creating, and collaborating, I aim to inspire others and celebrate the power of art.
