Join us in the Cultural Arts District in Denison, Texas for Dia de Los Muertos Weekend!
Experience the vibrant magic of Dia de los Muertos! Denison Arts and Culture District and the City of Denison Tourism Department present the 12th annual Dia de los Muertos Festiva! Join us November 2nd – 4th for a weekend filled with Music, Dance, Puppets, Parades and Beautiful Horses. Saturday November 3 from 10am -5pm/ Festival includes Main Stage entertainment starting at 10:00. Come watch Folkloric Dancers, Mariachi Bands and Aztec Dancers. Shop at the Mercado and enjoy fabulous food from vendors from Tacos, BBQ, and Corndogs.! Main Stage Headliners include the CTS Queen of Tejano Tribute Band, the Outstanding DFW Caballos Bailadores Dancing Horses and the Gabby’s Car Show. Weekend ticketed events include Party with the Puppets on Friday, Saturday evening is the La Catrina Gala and then Sunday El Princesses Brunch! Don’t miss out on these festivities in historic downtown Denison Historic District.

- Dia de los Muertos 12x12 Small Art Exhibition and Auction
Denison Arts Council is sponsoring Dia de los Muertos Small Art Exhibit and Auction to benefit area art Scholarships. Art work is donated and auctioned on November 4 at the La Catrina Gala. Pre-auction bidding is available on October 19th. Entries can be any dimension of 12x12x12, details in the Application
THEME: Small artwork should be inspired by Dia de los Muertos or represent a Latino influence. Some options to consider include: Paper Picados, Retablos, Mariposas (butterfly), Sacred Heart, Virgin Mary, Sugar Skulls & Dia Puppets. Vendor fee is $100.00 As an alternate Artists may join the new Denison Arts Council as an Artist Member.
