I’m a lifelong artist based here in Denison. I studied studio art for three years at Angelo State University with a focus on painting and drawing before graduating with my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in 2023. I began working with the Denison Arts Council in 2024 and have since become gallery manager.

I work mostly with digital art and acrylic painting, but like most artists, I dabble with various mediums and techniques as ideas arise. My interest in both freshwater and marine animals has influenced my work for years. Those looking through my body of work will find various portrayals of aquatic creatures and underwater scenes.

Depicting marine life in various forms helps me express complex themes—most of my work uses fiction to allude to real events and feelings. My paintings and literary work often address issues and injustices in the world around me. Although I know that simply painting won’t solve any of these problems, my hope is that portraying them in a new way can affect the perspective of those viewing the artwork.
